Hello everyone!
This week we started learning dance routines in PE!
JK - Hokey Pokey [differentiating left from right]
SK - Chicken Dance [partner dancing involved]
Gr 1 - Cha Cha Slide [following directions]
Gr 2 - Chinese New Year Dragon Dance [connecting with cultures UOI]
Gr 3 - Hoedown Throwdown [folk/hip-hop]
Each class is progressing well with their dances and are very close to being performance ready!
We will be presenting in front of the students' homeroom teachers as well as taking a video of the performance. If you would like to see your child's dance, please e-mail me directly and I will forward you a video.
Our grade 2's will be presenting on Monday morning during our assembly to celebrate the beginning of Chinese New Year! You are more then welcome to come and enjoy the performance, but for your convenience, we will also be recording the dance.
